Congratulations Emma Sahibjan, Class of 2024, who has accepted a place in the Ph.D. program in English at the CUNY Graduate Center beginning Fall 2024.
Congratulations Chelsea Jaylene Portorreal, Class of 2024, who has accepted a place in the Ph.D. program in English at the Rutgers University beginning Fall 2024.
Congratulations Kenisha Barrett, Class of 2023, who has accepted a place in the Ph.D. program in English at the CUNY Graduate Center beginning Fall 2023. In addition to the regular fellowship she was awarded a Provost's Enhancement Fellowship.
Congratulations Rafiana Martinez, Class of 2022 who has been accepted a place in the Columbia University MFA program beginning Fall 2022.
Congratulations to alumna Sonia Gonzalez, Class of 2021, who has accepted a place in the Phd Program in English at the CUNY Graduate Center beginning Fall 2022. In addition to the regular fellowship she was awarded a Provost's Enhancement Fellowship.
FACULTY Advisors
Dr. Melissa Castillo-Garsow serves as the Director of the EHP. In that capacity, she manages recruitment and entry for the Honors Program, advises students currently in the program and teaches the Honors Colloquium. Her office is Carman 387 where you will usually find her Tuesday's and Thursdays. She is also happy to zoom throughout the week to answer any questions or concerns.
Professor Castillo-Garsow is an Associate Professor of English specializing in Latinx Literature and Culture. She is the author/editor of seven books. She has advised numerous EHP thesis and also teaches in the English PhD program at the CUNY graduate center.
